Our mission: BITM is developed as a center of excellence in "Management Education for Technology Managers". Through its various MBA programs, BITM offers career-oriented Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programs with specializations in Marketing, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Production Management and Business Analytics, Digital Marketing and Business Analytics, Data Science and Business Analytics, and Telecom & Business Analytics. We believe in developing effective management skills in students for the benefit of the industry.

Admission to BITM is done through a scientific selection process. Rigorous scheduling of on-the-job training and classroom inputs consisting of multiple subjects conducted throughout the year as per the demands of a dynamic business environment ensures that BITM students represent the best management graduates.

Sri Balaji Society (SBS) was established in 1998 Late. Prof. Dr. (Col.) A. Balasubramanian; is also the founder president and chancellor of Sri Balaji University, Pune. Sri Balaji Society moved to its present location in Tathwada, Pune in 2006. It is the determination and vision of our founder that helped us achieve university status in 2019.

Balaji Institute of Technology and Management (BITM) is the second institution of Sri Balaji University, Pune. Originally known as ICTM (Indian Center for Telecom Management), it was established in 2002 in a building located behind Pune Railway Station. The institute was established keeping in mind the huge growth potential of IT, ITES, and other service industries in India.
After securing AICTE approval in 2007, the institute was renamed BITM (Balaji Institute of Technology & Management).

Admission

Application Form: Common application forms for all institutes of Sri Balaji University including Balaji Institute of Technology & Management (BITM) can be submitted online or offline with a fee of INR 1000/-. If you are participating in the SBEST exam, the fee will be INR 490 (service provider taxes applicable on all payments). After successful payment of the application fee, a registration number is issued.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduated from a UGC-accredited university with an overall mark of at least 50% (45% in the reserved category).

Students who are currently in their final year of graduation and are confident of achieving at least 50% overall may also apply for the MBA program. Admissions committees may give more weight to high grades after graduation.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF BITM PUNE

A candidate who meets the following admission criteria can apply to Balaji Institute of Telecom & Management, Sri Balaji University, Pune for an MBA program of their choice.

A candidate seeking admission to the MBA program should:

  • Be a graduate of a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
  • Students who are currently in their final year of graduation and are confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks can also apply for MBA courses. The admissions committee may give more weight to higher grades at graduation.
  • It is absolutely necessary for the candidate to clear at least one exam in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or MH-CET. MAT examinations held after September 2022 to March 2023 will be considered for admission to the academic year 2023-25. We believe that true talent cannot be judged on the basis of the score given by the entrance exam. Therefore, we do not have a cut-off score below which the candidate's score cannot apply to the program.
  • Students seeking admission in MBA Technology & Management (specialization in Telecom/Systems*/ Business Analytics/ Operations & Supply Chain Management) should be Engineers majoring in Electronics/ E&TC;/Telecommunications/Computer Science/Information Technology/Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechanical.
  • For students seeking admission to an MBA program specializing in finance, the preferred educational qualification is business. Students from other scientific streams are discouraged. However, students of any major can apply for the Marketing specialization in the MBA program.

Prof. MS Pillai Memorial Scholarship: A small post about Prof. MS Pillai Memorial Scholarship from our beloved Founder-Chancellor Professor Dr. (Col.) Balasubramanian in his golden words -

"Prof. MISS. Pillai was an innovator and an extraordinary professor and manager of education. He was a genius known for bold initiatives in management education. I happen to be one of his blessed students. After I left the army, when I came to Symbiosis, Prof. MS Pillai was leaving for an institute in Kerala. But it soon came back and started SCMHRD while I was running SIMS. There was a healthy collaboration between us and we complemented each other, resulting in the growth of ourselves and our students.

Prof. MS Pillai introduced meditation and vipassana as compulsory subjects for his management students. He was also a mentor to many corporate leaders. He was a good student and a great teacher, completely devoted to his students. He was a kind-hearted but strict disciplinarian. Excellent advisor. Thousands of students have benefited from his training and guidance. Prof Pillai was known primarily for his humility and humanity. He was a role model, and as his student and chancellor of SBUP, it is my duty to honor his memory through the Memorial Scholarship of Prof. M.S. Pillai.'

Selection procedure for prof. MS Pillai Memorial Scholarship
The commission consisted of experts from the field who were students of prof. MS Pillai and representatives of the Sadhana Educational & Empowerment Foundation nominate two students for this scholarship.

Sri Venkateswara Scholarship
A total of 12 students (3 each from 4 institutes) are eligible for this scholarship.

Selection procedure for prof. MS Pillai Memorial Scholarship
Students will be nominated for this scholarship by a committee consisting of representatives of the university headed by the vice-chancellor. One of the main selection criteria would be the socioeconomic background of the students.

Prof. MS Pillai Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is only for JCOs and other rank soldiers/ex-servicemen from Indian Army Artillery Regiments. The complete academic fee for a total of 8 students (4 boys and 4 girls) will be paid by this SBUP scholarship.

The Director General of Artillery, Delhi sent an official notification to all the 6 HQs of different Artillery Centers – HQ Southern comd. (arty), (HQ South-Western comd. (arty), HQ Eastern comd. (arty), HQ Western comd. (arty), HQ Northern comd. (arty) and HQ Central comd. (arty) – scholarship announcement.

Grateful GNR Scholarship Selection Process
The parents of the eligible candidate must obtain a letter of recommendation from their respective headquarters and submit it to the institute along with the application. In case of a large number of applications, the criteria for selecting the 8 best students will be the merit committee.
