Adarsh Vidya Prasarak Sanstha's Adarsh College of Arts and Commerce was established in the year 1995 as an extended dream of Adarsh Vidya Prasarak Sanstha to provide proper higher education to the students of Badlapur. It offers different graduate and post graduate courses in the fields of Arts and commerce like BMS, BBI, BAF, M.Com (Financial Accountancy, Management and Banking & Finance) and M. A. (History, Marathi and Economics). This institute receives its affiliation from the University of Mumbai and is recognized under 2(f) and 12 B of UGC Act 1956. It has been accredited by NAAC in the year 2011 with a grade point of B. It provides all the necessary facilities for a student to have a better educational uplift.
