There are more South 24 Parganas candidates on the top 10 merit list than any other region, accounting for the majority of the top scorers in the WB 10th result. Eight applicants from South 24 Parganas and seven each from South Dinajpur, East Burdwan, and East Midnapore districts make up the top 10 merit list out of 57 total candidates. Among other districts, Bankura, Malda, and West Midnapore are home to four candidates, and Birbhum is home to three.
