UGC New Guidelines for Academic Calendar 2021-22: New session will start on 1, October On 10, July 2021 UGC (University Grants Commission) has been issued some guidelines for a new academic calendar for all colleges and universities. As per the UGC guidelines, new admissions into first-year courses must be completed by later than 30, September. On the other hand, the new academic session will be started from 1, October. In front of the Supreme Court, the UGC said that All the higher education colleges shall ensure that the new admission for UG programs will be done only after the intermediate result declaration. Whereas, All the intermediate boards are expected to declare the result by 31, July 2021, so the admission will be done after 31, July 2021. Students who want to take admission in UG courses must have to submit their application form on or before 31, October 2021 and the relevant documents of the qualifying exam can be accepted till 31, December 2021. UGC also said, “ If there will be a delay in result declaration of the qualifying exam then Higher Education Institutions may start their academic session by 18, October 2021”. All the Higher Education can plan their classes, exams, breaks, and semester break from 1, October 2021 to 31, July 2022 by following all necessary protocols/ directions/ guidelines issued by the central state government. UGC also states that for those parents whose face financial problem due to COVID-19 then UGC has permitted full refund fee in their account of all cancellations up to 31, October 2021 as a special case. Admission for UG Programs
When it comes to the academic calendar for 2021-22, UGC stated for those students from intermediate and get admission into Higher Education Institutes can start their academic session as soon as possible. For other courses, the UGC also updates more guidelines for the first year as well as second and third-year students time to time.
