The National Eligibility and Entrance Test, or NEET for short, was formerly called the All India Pre-Medical Test. It's an exam for undergrads hoping to get into government and private universities in India's undergraduate medical, dentistry, and AYUSH programs. For individuals pursuing primary medical certification outside of India, the NEET Exam 2024 is also intended. NEET is therefore required for all applicants to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, and BHMS programs. The National Testing Agency, or NTA, is in charge of NEET UG. The Directorate General of Health Services, which operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counseling Authorities, is one of the government entities designated for this purpose. They decide the official mechanism via which seats are allocated.

Speaking of the most recent NEET 2024 results, Tanishka scored an amazing 715 out of 720 in NEET UG 2022, while Soyeb Aftab received a flawless score of 720 out of 720 in NEET UG 2020. NTA is scheduled to announce two NEET 2024 merit lists (one for Quota candidates and one for All India Rankers) by the end of June. Merit lists come in many forms: State/Union Territories NEET merit list, All India 50% quota rank merit list, All India 50% category rank list, and All India NEET 2024 rank list.

The All India Merit List displays the overall number of applicants who took the exam as well as the rankings of those who took the NEET 2024 exam. Their grades, the cutoff score, and the cutoff percentile are all listed on the merit list. The candidate's categorization or stance on the AIQ reserve is not taken into consideration.

State medical councils create their own NEET Merit List 2024 based on the state's requirements and the applicant's eligibility. It displays each candidate's state ranking for other applicants from the same state.

NEET Result 2024: Calculate the Percentile Score.

It needs at least 50 percentile to pass the NEET exam 2024. The NEET percentile can be computed in two ways. Considering Marks Compare the raw result to the highest raw NEET result. Rank-based Add up all of the NEET candidates who meet the requirements, along with your anticipated NEET rank. Rank Percentile = [(Number of Qualifying Candidates-Candidate's Personal NEET rank)/Total Number of Appeared Candidates] is the formula for calculating the percentile of the NEET exam by rank. NEET Outcome for 2024: Breaking Ties Procedure According to the previous year's patterns, the final merit may be determined by the following if two or more candidates receive similar marks or percentile scores on the NEET 2024:

  • Candidates who scored higher on the biology (botany and zoology) exam were followed by those who scored higher on the chemistry exam, those who scored higher on the physics exam, and those who scored lower on the percentage of attempted wrong answers to correct answers across all subjects.

  • Application number in ascending order, the candidate with less proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) subject, Physics subject, the candidate with less proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers, the candidate with older age, and finally, the candidate with less proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers

In the extremely improbable event that there is still a tie, both applicants receive the same NEET UG rank. State Quota Counseling and All India Quota Counseling are the two types of counseling available. The Medical Counselling Committee and several state counseling agencies will release category-specific NEET cut-offs for candidates to be admitted following the announcement of the NEET 2024 results. This will include the minimum exam score a candidate must have as well as the final rank needed to be admitted to the MBBS and BDS programs. The results announcement is followed by the publication of the NEET 2024 merit list. The candidates are shortlisted based on their scores and ranks.
