NEET-UG 2024 results: Supreme Court Seeks Response on Reconducting NEET-UG 2024 Exam again

News

After receiving a petition asking for the NEET UG 2024 results to be canceled, the Supreme Court of India sent notices to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the central government. The court voiced worry over potential compromises to the integrity of the medical admission exam. The NEET 2024 counseling process for undergraduate medical admissions was not, however, discontinued as a result.

"The sanctity of the examination has been affected, and we require clarification," the court said, emphasizing how crucial it is to preserve the exam's integrity. For a hearing set for July 8, it merged this petition which was submitted by ten NEET candidates with an ongoing case.

Petitioners are against NTA's awarding extra marks to 1,600 students and are asking the Supreme Court to intervene to cancel and re-conduct the NEET UG exam. The level of dissatisfaction among parents and students regarding this year's medical entrance exam is rising after the neet paper leaked the latest news.  The NTA's grace marks and neet ug paper leak have contributed to the dispute around the NEET 2024 scores of 718 and 719 vs 720. To help people impacted by paper errors, a committee recommended that the marks be given, as the Director-General of NTA made clear. When their report is due in a week, another committee consisting of four members will deliberate on possible next steps, which may include a re-examination. Supreme Court on NEET UG 2024

In response to petitions for the cancellation of NEET 2024 due to a claimed NEET paper leak, the Supreme Court of India recently addressed the ongoing concerns regarding NEET UG 2024. The court made the decision to adopt a fair strategy. To lessen the impact on students while resolving the concerns brought forth, the court decided not to terminate the NEET 2024 counseling program for medical institutions.

Notice from the Supreme Court to NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has received a letter from the Supreme Court in response to the claims, requesting openness and clarification regarding the purported paper leak. Justice Amanullah emphasized the necessity for answers to preserve the sanctity of the test process, noting that administering the exam alone does not guarantee its integrity.
