IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Kanpur To Offer Internships For Ladakh Students

Renowned institutes like IIT Delhi, Bombay, and Kanpur are providing internships and sponsored M.Tech for Ladakh students. The Union Territory of Ladakh and IITs have collaborated to offer internship programs and sponsor M.Tech.
 

This initiative has been started with the idea of providing more opportunities in the field of education to the students of Ladakh. It will benefit those students who are currently pursuing graduate-level courses in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects. 
 

According to the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, the last date to apply for the three opportunities is June 30, 2022. The interested candidates can visit the official website to get more details.
 

The unique opportunities all the three IITs that are IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Kanpur are offering include short-term internships for undergraduate students that is for 1.5 - 2 months, long-term internships for graduate students that is for 6 months duration, and sponsored M.Tech program for a duration of 2 years duration. 
 

A total of 30 seats are available in the three IITs for short-term internships. 15 seats for long-term internships along with 12 seats for M.Tech programs. The selection of students for the short-term internship will be done based on their application.
 

The selection criteria for a long-term internship for an M.Tech program will be based on application as well as an online interview. Students selected for short-term and long-term internships will be paid a consolidated scholarship of Rs 15,000 and Rs 50,000. The candidate selected for an M.Tech program will be paid a scholarship of Rs 25,000 per month.
