NEET 2024 Examination Guidelines for Admit Card

The NEET 2024 admit card is the most important document on exam day. It is recommended that candidates download their NEET admission card well in advance and do not wait until the final date.
Three aspects of the NEET admission card 2024 need to be checked:

  • A coloured printout of the NEET 2024 admit card must be removed by him or her.

  • Insert a current (4" x 6") postcard-sized photo in the designated area.

  • A parent or legal guardian must sign the admission card.

NEET 2024 Examination Guidelines for Exam Pattern

Even though everyone taking the exam is aware of the NEET 2024 exam pattern, a brief review will help candidates do better on test day because this year's format and pattern have changed. The four important factors that one needs to consider when taking the test are listed below.

 

Exam Mode: The NEET 2024 exam will be administered offline. Candidates will be permitted to take the test booklet with them when the exam is over.

 

The length of the exam: Three hours and twenty minutes is the estimated duration. Throughout the test, candidates are required to monitor the passing of time. Every exam room will have a wall clock because wristwatches are not allowed.

 

Medium of Examination: The NEET 2024 question paper has thirteen language options. Candidates who select a regional language will receive a bilingual question paper with English as the second language.

 

Marking scheme: It is imperative for candidates to always remember that NEET 2024 utilises a negative marking methodology. Since students would lose points for each wrong response, they should refrain from speculating on the answers.

 

Number of Questions: There will be 200 questions in all, however only 180 of them must be answered by applicants. There will be two portions for each subject, A and B, with 35 and 15 questions in each. In Section B, candidates will only be required to respond to ten questions. 

NEET 2024 Examination Guidelines for Dress Code

It is necessary for students appearing for this entrance to follow the NEET 2024 exam dress code, as suggested by NTA. 


Dress Code for both male and female candidates

  • Applicants should dress comfortably; long-sleeved shirts should be avoided.

  • Boots, shoes, and other items are not allowed. Instead, candidates must don slippers, sandals with low heels that open to the toes, etc.

  • By 12:30 pm, candidates in traditional attire are required to report to the exam centre. Additionally, these individuals had to have filled out the NEET 2024 application form with this information.

  • Applicants who are ill and might need to vary from the NEET 2024 dress code must obtain prior authorization from the NTA.

NEET 2024 Examination Guidelines for prohibited equipments

There is a list of items released by the NTA that are banned inside the examination hall. Students appearing for the examination must ensure that they do not have any of the following items on them on the exam day.

 

  • Pens, scales/rulers, erasers, papers, notes, pencil boxes, pouches, geometry boxes, and other stationery items are examples of test-based material.

  • gadgets with electronics including scanners, pens, cameras, and calculators.

  • accessories like wallets, goggles, belts, caps, and purses.

  • communication devices: cell phones, smart watches, fitness bands, Bluetooth, earbuds, pagers, etc.

  • Any jewellery, including nose pins, piercings, earrings, and the like, whether metallic or not.

  • Food (prepared or packaged), a thermos, etc.

  • Those who are diabetic candidates may bring fruit (bananas, apples, oranges, etc.), sugar tablets, and a clear water bottle. Nonetheless, these applicants need to have completed the necessary fields on their NEET 2024 application.

NEET 2024 Examination Instructions

The following exam day guidelines will have to be followed by the NEET 2024 aspirants. 

  1. At 11:30 a.m., the NEET 2024 exam centre will open. Before 11:30 am, no candidate will be permitted to enter the examination venue.

  2. At 1:30 p.m., the examination hall will close to new entries. After 1:30 pm, no candidate will be permitted to enter the examination venue.

  3. On the day of the exam, candidates must have the NEET 2024 admission card, which must be properly signed by a parent or guardian and have a postcard-sized photo attached to it. They also need to bring a valid form of identification and a passport-sized photo.

  4. On request, he or she must present the NEET 2024 admit card.

  5. Security checks, including frisking and body scanning, are required. Candidates are thus advised to cooperate with the security personnel present at the exam centre.

  6. Candidates who intend to use their scribe must carry a ‘Letter of Undertaking’ to the exam centre.

  7. Students will not leave the examination hall before 5:20 pm

 

Safety Measures at the NEET 2024 Exam Centre

The examination authorities will follow the steps given below to ensure the safety measures and security protocols at the exam centres. 

  • On exam day, a "disinfectant backpack spray machine" will be used to sanitize the NEET 2024 exam centre. Everyone assigned to exam duty will be wearing facemasks and gloves.

  • Sanitizer bottles will be stored in the registration area, test rooms, and entry gate, among other places. These will occasionally be replenished.

  • Every workstation and chair will be completely cleaned.

  • The restrooms will receive a comprehensive cleaning.

  • The trash cans are going to be cleaned and emptied.

  • There will be ropes outside the exam centre so that at all times there are only 20 boys and 20 girls in line.

  • To make sure that the candidates maintain their social distance while waiting in line, markings will be drawn on the floor.
