GATE 2022 admit card is going to release on 7th January, 2022 (Friday). GATE 2022 exam/test dates have been announced – It is going to be conducted on 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th February, 2022. For more details check GATE 2022 important dates section.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2022 (GATE) is national level engineering entrance exam organized every year by IISC Bangalore and seven IIT’s. This year IIT, Kharagpur is going to organize the GATE 2022 exam. Through this test you can get admission into master’s & direct doctoral programs in the field of Engineering/ Architecture/ Technology/ Arts & Science, and so on.

GATE 2022 Exam Pattern

  • Mode: GATE 2022 paper will be organized via online (CBT) mode
  • Questions: GATE exam consists of some multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while remaining questions are of Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and/ or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
  • Total questions: GATE 2022 test consist of total 65 questions in the paper i.e. 10 questions in GA (General Aptitude) Section and 55 questions in candidate’s selected subject.
  • Duration: all the candidates will get total 3 hours (180 minutes) for the GATE test
  • Marking Scheme: Questions in GATE 2022 examination will be of 1 and 2 marks
    • There will be negative marking in MCQs for each incorrect answer chosen - 1/3 mark will be deducted for 1-mark MCQ and likewise 2/3 mark will be deducted for 2-mark MCQ.
    • There will be no negative marking for incorrect option chosen in Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and/ or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) section.
