Today, July 15, 2024, is the first day that the Consortium of National Law Universities will open registration and applications for CLAT 2025. Admission to undergraduate and graduate law programs offered by law universities and other participating institutions is determined by the results of the CLAT tests.

 

As per the official announcement, the registration window for CLAT 2025 will open at 12 p.m. Before registering for the entrance exam, students are urged to ensure they have all required documentation on hand.

 

October 15, 2024 is the deadline for students to finish the registration and application process for CLAT 2025. The first CLAT exam day is set for December 1, 2024. Before the deadline, students must ensure that they have finished the registration and application process for CLAT 2025

The Consortium of NLUs administers the Common Legal Admission Test (CLAT), a national legal entrance test, to candidates seeking admission to one-year LLM (PG) and five-year integrated LLB (UG) programs. Exams are given for admission to 21 NLUs in postgraduate programs and 24 NLUs in undergraduate programs. Several of the nation's best law schools, including NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata, and NLU Jodhpur, are on the list of collaborating NLUs.

 

Candidates must answer questions on English, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Mathematics for UG courses, as well as Constitutional Law and other legal subjects like Jurisprudence, Torts, IPC, CrPC, CPC, and Family Law. The exam is administered offline using pen and paper format.

 

UG Eligibility criteria

 

  • Candidates for undergraduate law programs must have completed their qualifying exams with a minimum of 45% of the possible points.
  • PwD, SC, and ST students must receive at least 40% of the possible points in their qualifying exams.
  • Applying students who will be taking their final examinations in March or April are also welcome.

 

PG 2025 Eligibility Requirements

 

  • Candidates' UG exam scores must have been at least 50%.
  • PwD, SC, and ST students need to have received at least 45% of the possible points in their UG exams.
  • Candidates for the CLAT 2025 tests may also be students who are taking their final exams in March or April.
