MICA Ahmedabad Admission Test

Overview

The application form of MICAT II has been already released. The MICA Admission exam is the institution-level entrance exam which conducted by the Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad. The MICAT exam will be held twice in a year. This MICAT Exam will be held to offer admission into various PGDM-C and PGDM programs of the MICA Institutions. The exam MICA also provides admission on the basis of multiple other management entrance exam including the XAT, CAT and GMAT scores.

Eligibility

  • Applicants should have at least a Graduation degree or any other equivalent degree from relevant discipline from the recognized by Association of Indian Universities.
  • Aspirants also must have valid marks of any management examination such as GMAT, XAT or CAT
  • NRIs or Foreign nationals students also need to have a valid GMAT score (600+) 
  • Final year Graduation’s appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
     

Syllabus

The MICAT  exam syllabus consists three sections: Section A, Section B, and Section C.

The syllabus will consist of similar to top management exams like XAT, CAT, and GMAT.

  • Section A
    • The test would cover individual faces like- Personality Traits, Personality Factors, Situational Judgements, etc.
  • Section B
    • In this section, applicants need to write Arguments, Essays, Personal Opinions, Write stories based on given pictures
  • Section C
    • This section consists three subsections
    • Data Interpretation
    • Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability
    • General Awareness

Exam Pattern

  • The MICAT exam will be conducted through online mode
  • There will be 145 questions in the question paper
  • 1 mark will be awarded for right answer
  • The exam will be computer based test
  • There are descriptive and objective questions available in the exam
  • Three sections available in the question paper

Exam Paper

  • Applicants first need to take the GMAT/ XAT/ CAT exam
  • After clear the above exam, applicants need to appear in the MICAT exam and clear it
  • Only those applicants can go with the further round like GE and PI round who qualify the MICAT exam

Exam Application Process

The MICAT exam involves five steps to complete the process of the application form.

  • Registration: Applicants first need to do registration. It is the initial stage and applicants need to fill their some personal information.
  • Fill the application form: After the registration process, applicants then need to fill their application form by entering personal as well as educational information
  • Upload documents: Candidates then need to upload their documents as required
  • Pay the Application Fees: After uploading documents, candidates then need to pat their application fees
  • Printout the Application form: Make sure to enter the correct information, take the printout of the application form for future reference

 

Registration Fees of MICAT Exam:

  • The application fees will be Rupees 2100.
  • Applicants need to submit their application fees through online mode

 

Selection Process of MICAT Exam:

  • Stage-I: Applicants must have to take tests like XAT/CAT/ GMAT exam.
  • Stage -II: Candidates who have taken any of the above exams will be eligible for the MICAT exam. In the MICAT entrance exam, all the candidates are assessed on the following:
    • Section A: Psychometric Test
    • Section B: Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability, General Awareness; Divergent & Convergent Thinking
    • Section C: Descriptive Test
  • Stage III- In GE & PI round applicants who qualified the XAT/CAT/GMAT exam and MICAT I & II must have to appear for both Group Exercise (GE) as well as Personal Interview (PI).
