Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test

Eligibility

  • Before applying for the HPTET Examination, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements. The eligibility criteria for various positions filled by the HPTET examination may differ.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old when applying for the HPTET.
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • It will be convenient for students who have a Himachal Pradesh domicile certificate.
  • Students in their final year of study in the aforementioned programmes are also eligible to apply for HPTET. The eligibility criteria for various positions vary slightly.

The following are the eligibility requirements for various positions:

TGT (Arts) 10+2 with at least 45% marks and graduation in B.A. /B.Com. or Graduation in Elementary Education with 50%
TGT (Non-Medical) 10+2 with at least 50% marks and graduation in B.Sc. / B.Ed. or Graduation in Elementary Education with 50%
Shastri Graduation in Shastri with at least 50% marks from an acknowledged University by HP Govt.
TGT (Medical) 10+2 with at least 50% marks and graduation in B.Sc. {Medical} / B.Ed. or Graduation in Elementary Education with 50%
Language Teacher Graduation in Hindi or pursuing the final year of a diploma programme (2 years).
Junior Basic Training 10+2 with 50% marks at least and Graduation or equivalent in Elementary Education with 50%
Punjabi Language Teacher Graduation in Punjabi or pursuing the final year of a diploma programme (2 years).
Urdu Language Teacher Graduation in Urdu or pursuing the final year of a diploma programme (2 years).
