Application Process

  • Candidates are chosen based on their written exam results.
  • To get shortlisted, candidates must achieve 60% or higher in the CTET  exam.
  • Candidates must also meet CBSE's CTET eligibility requirements.
  • Candidates who pass the CTET are not guaranteed a job. They must apply for positions at various schools based on the available openings.
  • Candidates must go through the entire selection process at the school where they are applying for a position.
  • Candidates can provide their CTET eligibility certificate to the particular school after passing the exam.
  • The CTET eligibility certificate is valid for seven years from the date of the result announcement.
  • Candidates who do not pass the CTET exam may retake it as many times as they desire.

Cut-Off Process: 

CTET is a one-day exam that consists of two parts: Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are required and must be given on the same day, one after the other.

  • PAPER-I: This is an MCQ-based paper with a total score of 150. This paper has a time limit of 2.5 hours and contains questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and two mandatory languages. There is no negative grading and each correct answer receives one mark.
  • PAPER-II: This is another MCQ-based paper with a total score of 150. This paper will take 2.5 hours to complete and will include questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Social Studies, and two obligatory languages. Every correct answer receives one mark, and there is no negative grading.
