B.Tech. (Bachelor of Technology) and B.Pharm. (Bachelor of Pharmacy) commonly are both undergraduate academic degrees conferred after the completion of a 4 years program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-level institution.

Eligibility Admission


For B.Tech. one must have done his/her 10+2 with PCM or PCMB (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Biology) can choose their career in engineering. Also, candidates can apply for admission on the basis of Engineering Entrance Exams like JEE Mains/SAT/Uni Gauge, UPSEE, State Common Entrance Test.

Whereas, for B.Pharm. one must have done his/her 10+2 with PCB/B or biotechnology as one of the subjects. In some states, it is mandatory to give an additional pharmacy entrance examination to be eligible for the course. The entrance tests can be the State Common Entrance Test or NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), GPAT, BITSAT, are conducted to enroll students for B.Pharmacy courses.

Courses


Universities are offering number of courses in B.Tech. like Aeronautical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication, etc.

Whereas, in B.Pharm. in each semester students will have to face one main exam (Theoretical external examination) in case of some semesters, practical examinations will also be held, with the subjects being- Hospital Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy. The B.Pharm. courses mainly focuses on the study of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Inorganic, Physical and Organic)/Biology/Biochemistry/ Medicines/ Physiology/ Pharmacology/ Dispensing, etc. 

Average  Fee Structure


B.Tech. and B.Pharm. courses are both offered by Govt. and Private institutions. The fees can be different from college to college. 

In comparison, the average fees for complete B.Pharm. can range from 200000 to 60000. Whereas, the average fees for complete B. Tech. can range from 450000 to 800000.
