There are many citizens in our country who want to join the army. Keeping this in mind, the Agneepath scheme has been launched by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Under this scheme, the citizens of the country will be recruited in the army for 4 years. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the three wings of the army have announced to start of this scheme and the candidates recruited under this scheme will be called as Agniveer. The government has taken the decision to launch this scheme on 14 June 2022.
Through this scheme, all the youth of the country who want to participate in the Indian Army can now fulfill their dream of serving the nation. Through Agneepath Yojana, a large number of recruitment will be done in all the three branches of the Indian Army which are Army, Navy, and Air Force. Agneepath recruitment will be done under the scheme of the scheme.
Main Objective of Agneepath Scheme:
Under the Agneepath scheme, youth will be appointed for 4 years, in which they will be provided high-skill training of the army. Through this training, he will be able to become trained and disciplined. This scheme will also prove to be effective in reducing the unemployment rate of the country. Apart from this, the citizens of the country will be able to become strong and self-reliant by the operation of this scheme. With the operation of this scheme, the average age of the jawans will come down to 26 years. Apart from this, 25% of all these youths will also be kept in service.
An amount of more than Rs. 11 lakh will be provided on the completion of the tenure.
After the completion of the tenure of the youth appointed under the Agneepath scheme, the soldiers can be kept in further service by the defense forces. Most of the soldiers will be relieved of duty at the end of 3 to 4 years and they will be supported by the empowered forces for further employment opportunities. Apart from this, corporate companies are also showing interest in providing jobs to such trained and disciplined youth. About 25% of all these youths will be hired. Under this scheme, the youth of 17.5 years to 21 years will be kept in the army.
After the completion of the service period, a tax-free service fund package of Rs. 11.71 lakh will be provided to the youth. Around 46,000 youth will be recruited under Agneepath Scheme. Under the Agneepath, scheme girls will also be selected. Recruitment under this scheme will be started by the government in the next 90 days. The time period of training for all Agniveero is fixed from 10 weeks to 6 months under the scheme. Under this scheme, instead of a particular regiment, Agniveers will be recruited at the national level.
The government will not withdraw the Agneepath scheme:
A big statement has been issued by the Indian Army regarding the Agneepath scheme. A joint press conference was organized by the three armies. During this, a statement was issued that the Agneepath scheme would not be withdrawn by the government. The information has been provided by the army that the age of the armed forces is increasing which is worrying. Keeping this in mind the Agneepath scheme was launched by the government.
The service conditions of all Agniveers will be the same as that of regular soldiers. Registration will be started under Agneepath scheme on 24 June 2022.
Under this scheme, the online examination process will be started on 24th July. The first batch of Agnivero in the Air Force will be inducted in December. The testing of this batch will be started on 30th December. The details of recruitment under the Agneepath scheme will be released by the Indian Navy by June.
The second batch under the scheme will be recruited in February 2023.
The first batch of Agniveers selected under this scheme will report to the testing institutes on 21 November. Apart from this, the recruitment rally under this scheme will be held in August, September, and October. The second batch of Agniveers will be inducted in February next year which is 2023. Apart from this, the advertisement information of NAVY will reach the broadcast ministry by June 25 in the Navy. The first batch under NAVY will start reporting at INS Chilka Orissa on 21st November.

Agneepath Scheme Qualification:
The education qualification for each department has been tabulated as below-

Selection Criteria of Agniveers:
Agni Veers joining the Air Force will be provided a chance to serve by giving high-skill training. Apart from this, in the coming 6 years, the average age of jawans will come down from 6 to 7 years which means it will be 26 years which is 32 years now. Agniveers will be deployed on naval ships, submarines, aircraft etc. The information was provided by the Chief of Army Staff that there will be no compromise in the recruitment criteria under this scheme.
Apart from this, Agniveers will be selected under a transparent recruitment process. Agniveer must fulfill all the medical eligibility conditions. 25% of Agniveers of each batch will be enrolled in Shastra Balo. Under Agneepath scheme, youth can be posted in any regiment/unit/establishment. Apart from this, Agniveer Samman and Awards will also be given as per the extant guidelines under the scheme of Agneepath.
