Admission

Common application forms for all four management institutes of Sri Balaji University, Pune, and twelve courses can be submitted online with a fee of INR 1000. If you are participating in the SBEST exam, the fee will be INR 490 (applicable to Service Provider Tax for all payments). After successful payment of the application fee, a registration number is issued.

*GD & PI and Essay writing will be conducted at the following centers. The applicant can choose any center of his choice during the application process.

A candidate who meets the following admission criteria can apply to Sri Balaji University for an MBA program of their choice.

A candidate who wishes to be admitted to the MBA program should:

  • Be a graduate from a UGC-recognized university with minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
  • Students who are currently in the final year of their graduation and are confident of securing a minimum of 50% aggregate marks can also apply for MBA courses. The admissions committee may give more weight to higher grades at graduation.
  • It is absolutely necessary for the candidate to clear at least one exam in CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT or MH-CET. MAT examinations held after September 2022 to March 2023 will be considered for admission to the academic year 2023-25. We believe that true talent cannot be judged on the basis of the score given by the entrance exam. Therefore, we do not have a cut-off score below which the candidate's score cannot apply to the program.
  • For students seeking admission to an MBA program specializing in finance, the preferred educational qualification is business. Students from other scientific streams are discouraged. However, students of any major can apply for the Marketing specialization in the MBA program.

Applicants for admission to the Ph.D. program must have a Master's degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to a Master's degree by the relevant statutory regulatory body with at least 55% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent grade of 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale (or equivalent grade on the point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by the Assessment and Accreditation Agency that is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or registered under the law in its home country or any other country. a statutory body in a given country to assess, accredit or ensure the quality and standards of educational institutions.

  • Relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of marks may be allowed to those belonging to SC /ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / Differently abled and other categories of candidates as per the policy of Government of Maharashtra from time to time or for those who obtained their Master's degree before 19 September 1991. Qualifying marks of 55% (or equivalent mark on the point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and a relaxation of 5% for the above categories is admissible on the basis of qualifying marks only without including procedures for granting pardons.
  • To ensure that research on utility is conducted by experienced business executives with a minimum of 15 years of service in various domain areas/specializations in management such as marketing, human resources, finance, business economics, international trade, information technology, etc., a new a group of corporate researchers. The co-leaders of these corporate researchers will also be from Industries. It will be a unique and new experience in the field of corporate research. The way the Ph.D. research program is conducted and related coursework will also be adjusted where necessary, for example, corporate leaders may not frequent the university but our faculties will visit cities where the number of registered corporate researchers is higher.
  • Candidates working in organizations and applying as part-time external candidates will need to submit approval from the relevant organization.
  • Candidates who are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) have five years of professional experience. However, they must obtain 55% marks for graduation.
