Syllabus

The KAS syllabus closely resembles the IAS syllabus. The KAS prelims test will be objective in nature, with two papers.

Comprehension Mathematics Elementary (Class 10th Level)

There would be a minimum qualifying grade of 33% for Paper II of the Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary). The questions will be multiple-choice and objective in nature. For the purpose of assessment, the applicant must sit in both Papers of the Combined Competitive (Prelim) Examination. As a result, if a candidate does not present in both papers of the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, he or she will be disqualified.

Mains Syllabus KAS: The KAS main exam will consist of eight descriptive type papers.
Candidates should realise that, while the preliminary test is the first and most essential step, the KAS main exam, as the name implies, is the most important stage of the KAS exam. The final merit list is based on the marks obtained in the KAS main test. The syllabus for the KAS main test is fairly similar to that of the IAS major exam. According to the KAS announcement, "the Main Examination is meant to examine applicants' general intellectual qualities and depth of comprehension rather than just the extent of their learning and recollection."

Essays KAS essay is an open-ended paper, and applicants can score higher without putting in much effort. The Essay paper does not have a curriculum. Candidates must convey their thoughts in an organised manner and write concisely.

KAS Syllabus for Interview: The goal of the KAS interview is to assess the candidate's personal fit for a career in public service. The interview exam is designed to assess a candidate's mental capacity. In broad words, this is an evaluation of not just his academic abilities but also his social characteristics and interest in current events. Some of the traits to be evaluated are as follows:
