The DSSSB or Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board exam is a state-level exams and will be conducted every year for multiple posts under the (GNCT of Delhi) National Capital Territory of Delhi. The recruitment process for the posts of TGT, PGT, Assistant Teacher (Nursery), Assistant Teacher (Primary), Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDC), Counselor, Patwari, Head Clerk, etc.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria will be different for each post.

  • For PRT: 
    • Applicants need to complete the senior secondary level school with 50% minimum marks
    • Applicants need to two- a year Diploma in elementary education and also need to qualify for CTET
  • For PGT:
    • Applicants also need to complete a Master’s degree from a recognized university with 50% marks
    • Applicants also need to clear a Diploma in training from the recognized institute
  • For TGT: Applicants need to clear Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from the recognized institute with 45% marks
  • For Head Clerk: Applicants also need to complete Graduation degree with computer proficiency
  • For Counsellor: Applicants also need to hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in applied psychology or psychology
  • For Patwari: Applicants need to clear Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field

Syllabus

  • General Awareness: Sports, Geography, Art & Culture, Scientific Research, Economics, Politics, History, National/ International Organizations / Institutions, Constitution, Everyday Science
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability: Decision making, discrimination, visual memory, relationship, observation, analogies, concepts, differences, similarities, arithmetical reasoning, space visualization, analysis, problem-solving, arithmetical number series, judgment, verbal and figure classification
  • Arithmetical Numerical Ability: L.C.M., Number Systems, Ratio & Proportion, H.C.F., Average, Percentage, Discount, Profit & Loss, Data Interpretation, Decimals, Fractions, Simplification, Time & Work, Simplification, Tables & Graphs, Time & Distance, Simple Compound Interest

Exam Pattern

  • The DSSSB exam will be conducted offline mode. There are two parts in the DSSSB recruitment Tier 1 and Tier 2. 
  • Both the Tier 1 and Tier 2 recruitment exam has two sections
  • The duration of the exam will be three hours
  • Section A involves MCQs questions like Reasoning, Aptitude, English, General Awareness, Mathematics, and Hindi. 
  • Section B involves MCQs and 200 marks will be the total marks
