The GRE exam will become much shorter, going from almost 4 hours to just under 2 hours. The change, announced by ETS (the organization that conducts the GRE), means there will be fewer questions in the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections and only one essay in the Analytical Writing section. This aims to make the test less tiring for test-takers. With this update, the GRE will be shorter than the GMAT, GMAT Focus Edition, and LSAT exams.
