Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/BC/ AP State Govt. Employees, 10 years for PwD, 3 years for Ex-Servicemen/NCC/Retrenched Temp. Employees in State Census Dept. 
Nationality:  The applicant must be a Citizen of India. 
Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university is the most important educational qualification necessary for this exam. The following positions need unique educational credentials:

  • District Fire Officers in A.P. Fire Service:  Degree in Engineering (Fire) from any University acknowledged by the UGC or similar qualifications. If there are no candidates available with B.E (Fire) qualifications, then candidates with a Degree in any discipline will be considered.
  • Asst. Accounts Officer/ Asst. Treasury Officer in A.P. Treasury & Accounts Service: Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Mathematics from University acknowledged by the UGC with at least 2nd Div. in the subject, or A CA of the UK or India or an incorporated Accountant (London).
  • District Social Welfare Officer in A.P. Social Welfare Service: Bachelor’s degree from any University in India incorporated/established by or under a Central Act/ State Act/ provincial Act or an institution acknowledged by the UGC. 

 

Physical Standard: Applicants for District Fire Officer, DySP, and Jail Superintendent must meet specific physical requirements in order to be considered for the position. 

  • Male candidates in the General Category must be at least 167.6 cm tall and 86.3 cm round on the chest when fully expanded.
  • ST Candidates must be 86.8 cm round on the chest when fully expanded and at least 164 cm tall.
  • Female candidates in the General Category must be at least 152.5 cm tall and 86.3 cm round on the chest when fully expanded.
  • Candidates' visual acuity will be tested in two ways: one for distance vision and one for near vision.
  • Candidates who fulfill the basic qualifying requirements can begin their test preparation by adhering to a well-structured preparation approach.

State PCS Officers can be promoted to IAS under specific restrictions imposed by UPSC. Every year, 33 percent of all IAS vacancies are filled by promotion.
