National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous body under the Society Registration Act 1860 was established by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, is responsible for conducting Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) since 2019.
JEE Mains 2020 exam was supposed to be held in the month of April was first postponed to the month of July due to COVID-19. MHRD on 25th August 2020, announced that the JEE Mains 2020 will be conducted in the month of September.
According to the order released by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, "We find that there is absolutely no justification in the prayer made for postponement of the examination in question relating to NEET UG-2020 as well as JEE (Main) April, 2020."
Eligibility: Students willing to take admission in any government based engineering institutes must have passed 12th or equivalent examination along with Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). Applicants after successfully qualifying JEE Mains will be eligible for JEE (Advanced), which will help them in taking admission in Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) for their undergraduate programs.
