JEE Advanced is a national level examination is conducted by the different IITs of the country. This year IIT Delhi is conducting the examination. The students who have qualified JEE Mains can register for the JEE Advance to be commenced on 27th September 2020. The registration process has been started from 12th September and eligible candidates can apply for the examination from the official website jeeadv.ac.in.
The registration has to be done through online method and the portal was open from 12th September to 17th September 2020 till 5pm (IST). For foreign candidates, the registration date starts from 5th September and they can apply till 17th September 2020 for JEE Advance through online portal.
Around 2.5 lakh candidates who have qualified the JEE Mains examination can apply for the above mentioned exam. Foreign students have to select an Indian center in order to appear for the exam as no foreign centers has been allotted for the exam.
All covid-19 guidelines are been followed and accordingly number of exam centers are increased to ensure social distancing among the students.
General category candidates have to pay a total amount of 2800 INR as the application fees for the exam whereas reserved category and female candidates have to pay a total of 1400 INR towards the fees.
The examination will be conducted through online method only. Students can appear the exam through both Hindi and English language. Candidates can attempt a maximum of 2 times the following exam in consecutive two years.
Selected candidates become eligible towards the admission for different engineering and architectural courses of 23 IITs across the country.
The exam consists of 2 papers each of 3 hours in two shifts. The syllabus has not been changed for the current year.
