Introduction

Jhargram Raj College was established in 1949 in the Jhargram district of Midnapore, West Bengal state of India. It is one of the oldest government college in Jhargram district. The college was Earlier it was affiliated to Calcutta university then in 1985 it came under the affiliation of Vidyasagar university, Midnapore, West Bengal. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields of arts, commerce and science subjects. College also offers well equipped laboratories with all the facilities for the research purpose. Different minor and major research projects funded by different government agencies are also carried out by the faculty members of various departments of the college. The college regularly encourages their PhD students and faculties to participate in various seminars and workshops and their research articles are regularly published in reputed journals and periodicals. Along with high quality education and research, the college provides a Wifi enabled lush green campus with accommodation, sports club, Students Scholarship, Self Defence Training, Extension and Community Work etc
