About(NEET PG)

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) is conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) in 148 exam cities of India. This national level exam conducts admission into Doctor of Medicine (MD), Masters of Surgery (MS) and Postgraduate Diploma (PG diploma) for the interested students. It conducts admission to 50% All India Quota, 50% state quota seats, 100% seats in deemed and central universities, and AFMC and ESIC colleges by online mode for the selected students. NBE releases the admit card in the last week of December and the results are declared in the last week of January by online mode.

Eligibility Criteria of (NEET PG)

•    Students must have a valid MBBS degree or any provisional certificate from a recognized institution of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
•    It is necessary to complete the rotatory internship period of one year on or before the allocated date. 
•    Students have to carry the provisional or permanent medical registration certificate presented by MCI or a State Medical Council. 
•    Candidates who have studied/qualified MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible. Only candidates who were nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to study MBBS from Medical Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir shall be eligible. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring it.

Application Process of (NEET PG)

The online application form is released by NBE in the first week of November. Before applying for the exam, the students should go through the detailed notifications present in the official website. While filling up the form, they should provide the necessary information like personal and qualification details, photos, etc. The students need to pay 3750/- for General/OBC and 2750/- for ST/SC/PWD by online mode. The syllabus and centers details of the examination will be given on the official site. Candidates are requested to bring their admit card along with original photo identity proof. Failing to do so, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination center.

Exam Pattern of (NEET PG)

The total duration of this online exam is 3 hours 30 minutes. This exam is based on MBBS syllabus. The question paper consists of 300 MCQs. It is divided into 3 parts (Part A, B and C) which contain 50, 100 and 150 MCQs respectively. Each correct answer is awarded with 4 marks, incorrect answer results in deduction of 1 mark and unattempts results with no marks.
