About(NEET)

National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) in the month of May. NEET is conducted by National Testing Agency for admissions into MBBS, BDS, veterinary, ayush courses to various colleges across the nation. There were around 114 centres across the country where a more than 14 lakhs students appeared the exam. Application procedure begins in the month of November and ends by first week of December. Results are finally declared in the month of June. This national level examination is conducted once in a year. 

Eligibility of (NEET)

The following are the eligibility criteria for NEET :
•    The candidates must fulfil one of the following nationality criteria namely Indian, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons with Indian origins (PIO), Non Resident Indians (NRI) or foreign nationals.
•    The candidate must be minimum of 17 years of age.  
•    Students must have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biotechnology/ Biology are their compulsory subjects. 
•    the candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks for General category in aggregate, 45% marks for PWD category and 40% marks for ST/SC/OBC category candidates.
•    Applicants who have kept Biology as their 6th optional are also eligible. 
•    Candidates passed from open schools are also eligible.
•    Candidates can attempt the exam numerous times. 

Application Procedure of (NEET)

Candidates are required to go through the detailed advertisement before applying for the examination. The students should also check the eligibility criteria as well. 
The registration for the examination can be through online mode. Applicants need to complete the registration by entering personal details, academic information, and all the other related documents  required. 
Students should minutely fill the forms without making any mistakes, failing to do so the candidate will be disqualified. 
Students have to pay a total of Rs. 1400/- which for General and OBC category whereas other category students have to pay an amount of Rs. 750/- only.

Exam Pattern of (NEET)

The total duration of the examination is 3 hours. The examination is conducted in offline mode. Students need to carry their admit cards to the exam centre positively. The paper is divided into different sections namely: Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions), and Biology (90 questions). 4 marks is awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. 
The candidates are required to go through some previous year question papers and some recent sample papers to have a complete idea on the exam pattern and prepare accordingly for the examination.
