About(JIPMER MBBS)

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is an online mode of examination for MBBS examination. It is a national level exam conducted for MBBS seats available at JIPMER, Pondicherry and Karaikal for 200, 150, 50 seats respectively. This is held during the month of June for duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. JIPMER examination authorities releases the application form and the admit cards during the month of March and May respectively. The examinations are conducted over 120 cities.

Eligibility Criteria of (JIPMER MBBS)

JIPMER MBBS eligibility criteria are listed below:
•    Candidates willing to pursue the JIPMER MBBS exam must be of a Indian nationalism/ National Residents of India (NRI) and Overseas Citizens of India.
•    She/he must have attained minimum age of 17 years.
•    Candidates must have studied Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry as their compulsory subjects in Class 12 from a recognized board or council. Apart from these subjects, English should be a core subject in Class 12th. NRI and OCI candidates have to show a certificate approved from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi as a proof for their 12th pass.
•    Candidates must have passed in all the above mentioned subjects individually and should have also secured at least 60% in Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry and Physics aggregate. Candidates belonging to reserved categories or PWD categories must score a minimum of 50% in aggregate.

Application Process of (JIPMER MBBS)

•    JIPMER MBBS application form has to be filled through online mode only.
•    Candidates preparing themselves to take an admission in this University should go through the official website for all the information about the procedures.
•    Registration process starts from the month of March.
•    After filling the registration form, General/OBC candidates have to pay an amount of 1500 INR while SC/ST candidates have to pay 1200 INR. The amount can be only paid either through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.
•    Candidates are requested to bring their admit card to their allocated exam centers. Failing to do so, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination Centre.

Exam Pattern OF (JIPMER MBBS)

JIPMER MBBS is to be held in two shifts namely morning and afternoon. Questions which will follow the pattern of MCQs. The marking scheme involves negative marking for incorrect responses; 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 4 marks will be given for correct responses and 0 marks will be given for unanswered questions.
