Joint Entrance Exam Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2020-2021

 About JEE Advanced 

JEE Advanced is a national level entrance exam conducted for admissions to all 23 IITs and other colleges. It is conducted by the seven zonal coordinating IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). Admissions to various Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs are on the basis of the JEE Advanced ranks. It is the second test after JEE Main. 

Eligibility and Age Criteria JEE Advanced 

•    Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 in Paper 1 of JEE Main
•    From this list candidates to be shortlisted are 4% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and remaining 46.5% is OPEN for all. Among these categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates
•    Candidates must be born on or after 1st October 1994. 5 years of age relaxation for SC, ST and PwD candidates
•    Candidates can attempt for maximum two times in two consecutive years 
•    Candidates must have appeared class 12th or equivalent examination for the 1st time in 2018 or 2019. If the results for the academic year 2016-17 is declared after June 2017, then the candidate is also eligible to apply
•    General and OBC andidates must score a minimum aggregate of 75% in 12th examination. SC, ST and PwD candidates must score minimum aggregate of 65%
•    Candidates should not have been previously admitted to an IIT irrespective of continuing or leaving the program
