Syllabus

The RPSC oversees the recruitment process for the Assistant Professor position, which consists of two phases: a written examination and an interview session.

Exams can be administered either offline or online, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates must achieve at least a 35% score, along with an aggregated 40% score. Incorrect answers result in a 1/3 point deduction, while correct responses receive an award of 3 marks.

The interview phase does not adhere to a set syllabus and thoroughly depends on the candidates' performance who have passed the written test. The RPSC Assistant Professor exam paper will be sectioned into three parts.

Paper 1

  • History of Rajasthan and Indian History with special emphasis on Indian National Movement
  • Mental Ability Test, Statistics (Secondary Level), Mathematics (Secondary Level), Language Ability Test : Hindi, English
  • Current Affairs
  • General Science, Indian Polity, Geography of Rajasthan
  • Educational Management, Educational Scenario in Rajasthan, Right to Education Act, 2009

 

Paper 2

  • Knowledge of Subject Concerned : Senior Secondary Level
  • Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Graduation Level
  • Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Post Graduation Level
  • Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Teaching Learning Material, Use of Computers and Information Technology in Teaching Learning

Ques. Is it possible to attempt the RAS examination without receiving any formal coaching?
Ans.
All individuals aiming to pass RAS must tailor their preparation to their unique strengths and needs. Being able to grasp the assessment's format,  and syllabus, and self-studying effectively can indeed allow them to take the exam without attending any coaching sessions.

Ques. What is the maximum age permissible to sit for the RPSC RAS examination?
Ans.
The RPSC RAS shares an identical age limit with other service commission examinations. The minimum age required to participate in the exams is 21 years, with the maximum age being 40 years.

Ques. Could you provide the educational eligibility criteria necessary for the RPSC RAS examination?
