Exam Pattern

The UPSC test pattern is similar to the KAS exam pattern. The KAS test is divided into two parts.

Preliminary Examination:

  • General Studies Paper- I / 100 Questions / 200 Marks
  • General Studies Paper-II (Aptitude Test) / 80 Questions / 200 Marks

 

Main Exam:
Candidates who achieve the cut-off marks in the JKPSC CCE Prelims Exam will be invited to sit for the JKPSC Mains Exam. Candidates who pass the Prelims Exam will be given an application form, which they must complete within the time frame set by the Commission.

  • The JKPSC Mains Exam will include a written exam as well as a personality test.
  • The JKPSC Mains Exam consists of eight (8) standard essay papers.
  • English Paper is the only qualifying paper out of the eight mains papers.
  • Candidates who get the cut-off marks in the JKPSC Mains Exam will be invited to the Personality Test for Interview. The JKPSC Interview will be worth 250 points.
