Overview

The Chairman's Office, State Level Police Appointment Board, Assam, organises an exam for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector of Police. The hiring process is divided into numerous stages, such as a written test, a PET/PMT, and so on. Shortlisted applicants will be posted throughout the state. To pass the exam, candidates must complete a written exam, extracurricular activities, a computer competence test, and a physical efficiency test.

Eligibility

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian nationals and Assamese residents.
Age restriction: Applicant’s age must be in between 20 and 26 years. There is an age relaxation of 5 years for reserved categories (SC/ ST(H)/ ST(P).

Medical Standard: 

General: Applicants must not have squint eyes/ high colour vision. Applicants must be free of physical abnormalities. Candidates with particular ailments, such as respiratory illnesses, piles, diabetes, hernias, and so on, are not eligible to apply.
Eye Sight: The near vision of candidate should be normal. The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not weaker than 6/9 for the other without correction.

Exam Pattern

The written exam will be of 100 points and will be administered in offline mode. Candidates must use a blue or black ball pen to indicate their answers on the OMR sheet.  The total time given for the exam is three hours. There will be 100 questions, with each question worth one mark. For each incorrect response, a negative mark of 1/2 will be deducted. The following sections will be included in the paper are Logical thinking, ability, and comprehension, Assam/India’s- History & Culture, General Knowledge.

The final merit list for Assam Police SI would be created based on the aggregated marks from all phases of recruitment. For each category, just one merit list for male and female candidates will be released. There will be no waiting list of candidates released by the recruitment organisation.

Exam Application Process

According to the Assam Police SI exam pattern, the test would consist of the following stages:
Written Exam: The total time allocated for the test is 3 hours. There will be 100 questions, of one mark each. For each incorrect response, a negative mark of 1/2 will be deducted.
The paper will be split into three sections: Logical thinking, ability, and comprehension/ Assam's and India's history and culture, and / general knowledge. Candidates must use a black or blue ballpoint pen to indicate their answers on the OMR sheet.

PET (Physical Efficiency Test): Candidates will be given three tries, with the longest jump being considered. Total 40 Marks.

Assam Police SI Cut Off Marks vary from year to year and are determined by a variety of variables. Assam SLPRB evaluates the written test by considering various parameters before determining the qualifying marks. To advance to the next round of the selection process, all competitors must meet the SI Cut Off Marks.
